Smith, Roger David

November 20, 1950 -September 19, 2013

Story from the Quilt:
Roger Smith loved Jesus, his wife, 5 children and 14 grandchildren. They were his passions and joy in life. He was a Christian, Eagle Scout, Bible scholar of Samford University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and musically gifted and used it to the glory of God. He loved sports, especially anything that included the Tennessee Volunteers. He loved to fish, swim, golf and do whatever made his grandchildren happy.

After reading the book by Max Lucado, Outlive Your Life, Roger and his wife decided to leave a legacy and become organ donors. Due to his life and decision to give, many of our family and friends have become organ donors. He was always willing to help anyone in need and even in death, he continues to give.
