Story from the Quilt:
Vernon Trower was an average kid; loving life. He graduated from Atchison High School. He moved to Alabama in 1994. He was killed when moving a house, which he was on top of. He moved the first lines and was moving to the back of the house when he was knocked off by the other lines. We brought him home to Atchison, Kansas to be buried.

We felt his life was cut short so he became an organ donor. Whenever we feel his loss we think of the lives he saved, which helps. The quilt square was to honor our son!
