Story from the Quilt:
Chad was born to Karen Sloan White Mays and James Carlas White on February 27, 1981, at 11:29 am. Chad was born into this world capturing the hearts with his contagious smile. Chad accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 6 years old. Chad warmed the hearts of all he came in contact with. Chad had a Love for people and animals that spread to others. Chad grew up in Curry, Alabama. Chad had an outgoing personality, was a man of his word, a wonderful Son, Husband, Daddy, a true friend, a hero, a man who told the truth, a life giving Organ Donor and he kept a smile on his face even when times were hard. Chad decided after 9/11 that he wanted to make a difference for his country. He joined the United States Army as an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper in June 2002. He met and married Stephanie Mercedes Grounland from New Jersey on October 1, 2004, it was Love at first site. On December 11, 2007, was the most joyous day for Chad and Stephanie. Adellyn Pieper White was born. Chad had several hobbies; he loved riding Harley motorcycles, basketball, golf, fishing, hunting, swimming and mudding. Chad would have a few things to say if he could speak to your heart. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, love your Family and Friends. Tell the truth no matter what and be a person of your word. “I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart.”
