Story from the Quilt:
Randy was born in Mobile, Alabama. He lived with his mother and father, Randy Sr., in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. In 1986, his mother remarried to John Carpenter, where his brother Shawn and (step) sister Joy resided in Bay Minette, Alabama. When Randy turned sixteen he moved back to Bayou La Batre, to live with his uncle, Junior, and became a commercial fisherman, and was a man of the sea. In 1997, he became a proud father of a beautiful daughter named Mallory Breann and in 2001, became an excited father of a son named Tyler Jacob. Randy loved to get together with family, he especially loved his two children, and brought laughter and love where ever he was. He always enjoyed life; that is why he wanted to give the gift of life to someone by being an organ donor. His favorite music was country, at the time of his death, the song (Some Beach) by Blake Shelton was his favorite.
